This 222K is one of the best of the best. It was not used much and when it was used it was used with great care. There is barely a mark on the finish.
It is in excellent condition.
The serial number of this Featherweight is EN138945 which dates the machine to March 17, 1958.
Finding a 1958 Featherweight, 221 or 222K, is very difficult. Only 10,500 Singer 1958 Featherweights were produced. Most were sold in the UK but some, with North American voltage, were sold in Canada.
The Singer 222K Featherweight is in excellent cosmetic condition (as can be seen in the photographs) as well as in excellent operating condition.
The decals are complete and a deep golden color. The finish gleams.

222K Featherweights have the ability to easily lower and raise the feed dog using the sew/darn lever.

NO VOLTAGE ADAPTER IS NEEDED. The sewing machine is ready to just plug in and play.

222K Featherweights were produced with Canadian or British motors. 222K Featherweights were not manufactured in the USA. To be original a 222K Featherweight must have a Canadian or British motor.
The sewing bed is removable so that the machine can be used as a freearm sewing machine.
The light and switch both work as does the bobbin winder and the foot control.
The finish glows as can be seen in the photographs.
The bobbin case is included.
The throat plate is a graduated throat plate.
The case is in excellent condition.
The attachments are shown below. The manual is a reproduction.
The stitches from this Featherweight are straight and tight with good tension and no skipping of the stitches. A sample of the stitching will accompany the sewing machine. It has been serviced and tested so that you can quilt, sew or proudly display the Featherweight upon its arrival.
